Teenager flown to Alder Hey after Andreas Airfield incident

A teenager is in a serious condition following an incident at Andreas Airfield.

The 14-year-old has been flown to Alder Hey Children's Hospital after sustaining serious injuries - his treatment is ongoing.

Police were called to the airfield on Friday afternoon following reports of a motor vehicle colliding with a child.

Officers from the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team and Roads Policing Unit are investigating the incident, with enquiries ongoing.

Police confirmed the driver of the vehicle has been interviewed accordingly, and that no further details other than updates on the child's conditions will be released at this time.
