Vehicle lands on railway tracks at Blackboards

Police are reminding motorists to drive to the conditions of the road after a car came to rest on railway tracks.

The vehicle left the road at the Blackboards late last night, landing on the railway tracks below.

The emergency services and a crane attended the scene to clear the vehicle.

With heavy rain and snow affecting the Island's roads yesterday, the Roads Policing Unit appeared for motorists to drive carefully in such conditions.
