Coastguard crews help locate vulnerable person

Peel Coastguard was called out to help search for a vulnerable person.

The team was paged in the early hours of yesterday morning to help the police search at Cains strand, before heading south towards Peel and northwards on the headlands.

The person was located, but a member of the team in a harness was needed to bring the casualty back to safety.

The person was checked over by paramedics, and the coastguard crews returned to the station almost two hours after receiving the callout.
