Road to close for 6 months for hotel construction

A Douglas road will be closed for the next six months while construction of a hotel takes place.

Market Street is shut between the rear of TK Maxx and Marks and Spencer's while an 85-bedroom Premier Inn is built in the area.

Property developer Dandara says the closure is likely to last for 28 weeks, meaning the route won't re-open until mid October.

The hotel is due to be ccompleted by Spring next year.
