MHKs to continue Abortion Bill debate next week

Revisions to the proposed Abortion Reform Bill will continue to be discussed in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.

The Consideration of Clauses stage of Dr Alex Allinson's proposed legislation will resume on Tuesday.

40 amendments have been included on the order paper, along with new clauses to cover access zones.

MHKs will vote on whether it should be illegal to protest, harass or intimidate patients and film or photograph around hospitals and surgeries providing abortion services.

The Bill would make it easier for women to obtain an abortion on the Island.
