Work on a £3.8m extension will begin at one of the Island's primary schools next week following Tynwald approval.
The Manx Parliament agreed to give the Department of Education, Sport and Culture £3,630,938 in addition to the previously agreed £172,000 for pre-contract costs, allowing the project at St Mary's RC Primary School to begin.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen confirmed a contractor has been appointed and work is due to begin on March 31st, and be completed in time for the start of the 2019-20 academic year.
The works will add a four-classroom extension, a shared activity area, a fire escape stairway and a multi-purpose hall.
