Motorists urged to take care as MER season begins

The Manx Electric Railway season begins today.

Isle of Man Transport is reminding motorists that the trams will be operating regularly from today until November 4th and urging drivers to take care when crossing the MER lines

The railway is celebrating its 125th birthday this season, with special events planned to mark the anniversary later this year.

Over a quarter of a million passengers used the trams, which operate between Douglas and Ramsey, last year.
