Further amendments to the Abortion Reform Bill will be considered in today's sitting of the House of Keys.
Douglas East MHK Chris Robertshaw wants the proposed legislation to include a clause ensuring the Department of Health and Social Care can't refuse to employ or fire a healthcare professional who won't perform an abortion.
MHKs will also consider introducing access zones around surgeries and the homes of medical practitioners preventing protests about abortion services or harassment of those providing or seeking abortion services.
Last week, members rejected amendments looking to reduce the number of weeks into a pregnancy women will be able to seek an abortion.
A review into the Island's health service, adult social care services and gender pay inequality will also be discussed in this week's sitting.
