Education Minister seeks £3.6m for school extension

The Island's education authorities are seeking over £3.6m to fund works at a Douglas primary school.

The Department of Education, Sport and Culture wants £3,630,938 for an extension and alteration scheme at St Mary's RC Primary School.

Plans unveiled last year showed the project would include the addition of a two-storey extension adding four classrooms, as well as improving dining and sports facilities at the school.

Education Minister Graham Cregeen will ask for approval at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
