Coastguard team helps paramedics reach injured rider

Peel Coastguard was called out to help paramedics after an off-road motorcyclist suffered an injury.

The rider came off their bike and hit a tree on the Spoot Vane track yesterday morning.

The coastguard helped paramedics reach the injured rider and transported them to an ambulance in the Coastguard Land Rover before they were taken to hospital for further treatment.

The team returned to the station within two hours of receiving the callout.
