Post Office Landmark sold for Over £1m

The former Crown Post Office in Regent Street
The former Douglas Crown Post Office building has been sold for just over £1million pounds.
The Douglas landmark building has been bought by company owned by Northern Irish businessman, James Thompson.
Thompson moved to the Island four years ago and said that the building had captured his interest because of its prime location.
Thompson Holdings Limited are in discussions with various parties over renovations and future uses for the building.
Meanwhile the Post Office have announced that due to the sale, the post boxes at the site are now closed and advise people wishing to post letters, to use the post box in Strand Street, Market Hill, Granville Street or at Douglas Sea Terminal.
