Moving St Thomas's School to Saddlestone will cost the Department of Education, Sport and Culture £125,000.
Construction work will be necessary at Scoill Vallajeelt to get the building ready to house both schools.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen confirmed the work will include forming a new entrance canopy for St Thomas's reception and waiting area, a head teacher and administration office and quiet learning area.
The works will also involve reorientation of toilets, creating a new wet activity area and relocating Scoill Vallajeelt's reception and key stage 1 classes.
However, the Minister expects to make savings of £33,000 per year by not having to pay heating, lighting and rates at St Thomas's building.
