Repairing the damage caused to Douglas and Ramsey promenades by Storm Emma will cost over £200,000.
The Department of Infrastructure's engineers assessed the walkways and sea walls after waves hit the Island's coast on Friday.
The majority of the spend will go on replacing a 90-metre section of seal wall at Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey.
The footway collapsed when it was undermined by waves, but the Department hopes increasing the height will give additional protection, costing around £180,000.
A further £30,000 will be spent to resurface around 1500 square metres of Douglas promenade walkway, which will take place after Manx Utilities have had the chance to replace sewerage tank covers in the area.
The sea wall in Douglas escaped damage, but an estimated £12,000 will be needed to replace damaged railings.
