Inflation rises during February

The Island's inflation rate increased to 4.4% during February.

According to figures released by the Government, the Consumer Prices Index rose by 0.6% last month.

The Cabinet Office says the rising cost of crude oil played a part in the rise, along with an increase in the cost of air travel.

However, clothing, pork and subscriptions to the internet are all cheaper than they were at this time last year.
