The Department of Health and Social Care is urging the Manx public to plan ahead to stay well, warm and safe during the cold weather.
The Government issued advice to the public on staying healthy and safe throughout the cold spell, focusing on the elderly and those with chronic conditions.
The DHSC highlights keeping homes warm, eating a nutritious diet and dressing for the weather conditions as ways to avoid health problems during wintry weather.
The Department is also encouraging those who need prescription medications to make sure they have enough supplies, as well as keeping stocks of over the counter remedies for common illnesses like sore throats and colds to avoid extra trips during cold periods.
Further tips on staying healthy during such weather can be found on the winter health section of the Government's website.
