Owners of goods vehicles are being urged to ensure their vehicles are as secure as possible following a spate of battery thefts.
Over the weekend, the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team received reports of two thefts and one attempting theft.
Two DAF batteries were taken from a vehicle parked at Manx Independent Carriers' premises in Snugborough between 9pm last Thursday and 7am the following morning.
Between 5.30pm on Wednesday last week and 7.30 on Saturday morning, two heavy duty Oldham vehicle batteries were taken from a vehicle at Hills Meadow.
A third vehicle was targetted in the lower paddock area of the Grandstand between the 6th and 17th of February, but those responsible failed to remove the batteries.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who has been offered such batteries for sale, or has other information which could help their investigation.
