Wine stockist wants to open store, cafe on Peel Road

A wine retailer wants to open a store, warehouse and deli cafe on Peel Road.

The Wine Cellar is seeking planning permission to relocate from its premises on Tennis Road to the former Waltons site at The Milestone.

According to the application, the wine business would operate for 12 hours per day, while the cafe hours would vary, opening until 11pm between Thursday and Saturday.

The company hopes the addition of the cafe would allow for wine tasting evenings for trade and private customers.
