Gillings-Brier misses out on snowboard cross semi-finals

Manx snowboarder Zoe Gillings-Brier was beaten in the quarter-finals of the snowboard cross event at the Winter Olympics.

Competing in her fourth Games, Gillings-Brier progressed through the qualifying runs, but narrowly missed out on a spot in the semi-finals.

She needed a top three finish to make it through, but crossed the line fourth.

Gillings-Brier's best finish came at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, where she finished eighth.
