The Chief Minister says he's seeking assurances from charities receiving money from the Isle of Man that they are protecting vulnerable people.
The announcement comes following the recent reports about Oxfam workers using prostitutes while responding to humanitarian crises.
Howard Quayle confirmed he's writing to all Manx-registered charities and those who receive support from the Government International Development Funding to seek assurances that adequate safeguarding is in place.
Mr Quayle also revealed the Government is reviewing its funding of Oxfam's international development projects.
The Chief Minister insists the Island will do its utmost to ensure funding goes to charities that have safeguards in place.
