Ramsey Town Commissioners announce rate increase

Ramsey Town Commissioners are increasing the area's rate by 4.6% for the 2018-19 financial year.

The local authority has announced the rate has been set at 364p in the pound - a 16p rise on the current levy.

It's the first time the Commissioners have put the rate up sine 2013.

The board revealed it plans to invest in CCTV, upgrade street lights and resurface the playing areas in Mooragh Park in the coming 12 months.
