The Abortion Reform Bill will undergo the consideration of clauses stage in today's sitting of the House of Keys.
Dr Alex Allinson's proposals will be considered clause by clause, giving opportunities for other members to suggest amendments.
Also at this week's sitting, Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Geoffrey Boot faces questions about the use of plastic materials by food producers and the future of the Island's Meat Plant, while Chief Minister Howard Quayle will be asked about the appointment of a political member to the Cabinet Office.
The sitting gets underway at 10am.
