No dog owners were prosecuted in 2017 despite 15 incidents of dogs worrying sheep or other dogs.
The incidents resulted in the death of six sheep, as well as injuries to five sheep and six dogs.
Officers from the Southern and Central Neighbourhood Policing Teams each dealt with five cases, while just one incident took place in the west of the Island and four in the north.
In a number of cases, dog owners were given advice, while the dog owner couldn't be traced following a number of incidents.
