The Chief Minister says the Isle of Man must take advantage of growing sectors such as data and cyber security.
Howard Quayle gave an address to the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals' conference at the Villa Marina, stating the Island needs to be prepared for emerging opportunities.
Mr Quayle described data as "the new oil", predicting unstoppable growth in the sector which the Island can take advantage of.
The Chief Minister also believes the Island has the knowledge and expertise to be a centre of excellence in cyber security.
