Douglas Borough Council has announced it's increasing the rate levy by 2.7% for the 2018-19 financial year.
Leader of the Council David Christian announced that the rate will be set at 419 pence in the pound at this morning's meeting of the local authority.
It's the second year in a row the Council have raised the rate after increasing the levy to 408p last year.
Councillor Christian said the rate reflects past prudency and a clear direction for the future against the backdrop of a Retail Prices Index inflation figure of 6.9%.
