The water contamination incident in Lower Douglas last month cost Manx Utilities almost £12,000.
The board revealed is cost over £7,000 in network operations and incident response, and almost £4,000 to provide bottled water to those in the affected area.
A further £242 was spent on installing a temporary non-return valve, while over £500 was spent on sundries.
Manx Utilities says the estimate doesn't include the cost of the internal investigation following the event or claims for compensation from third parties.
Manx Utilities confirmed yesterday that it hopes to recover the cost from the responsible party after it accepted responsibility.
Sea water ended up in the fresh water supply as a result of the Steam Packet Company washing down the Ben-my-Chree.
