The Island's Minister for Health and Social Care says his Department is absolutely committed to providing continuity for children in foster care and the adoption process.
The Children's Centre announced earlier this month that it will be discontinuing its Family Placement Service in October.
David Ashford confirmed in the House of Keys that such a service is required by stature and that the DHSC will be working to find another provider before the Children's Centre ends its provision.
Mr Ashford insists it's important children have a continuity of care and his Department doesn't want them to see any change when the new provider takes over.
The Family Placement Service currently supports 54 children in foster care and four children in adoption placements.
