Technical fault delays Ben-my-Chree

The Ben-my-Chree's sailing to Douglas this afternoon is delayed after the vessel experienced a technical fault.

The Steam Packet Company says the fault is minor, and the on-board engineers should have the vessel repaired within a couple of hours.

As a result the 2.15pm crossing has been delayed, with no new departure time given.

This evening's 7.45pm crossing to Heysham is subject to possible disruption or cancellation due to the weather conditions, with a final announcement expected by 5pm.
