Onchan District Commissioners is freezing rates for the forthcoming year.
The local authority revealed work to find cost effective ways of providing its services had resulted in a £7,000 surplus for the current financial year.
The board confirmed the district rate will remain at 312p in the pound for the 2018-19 financial year.
The Commissioners say they expect the cost of running their services to rise in the future, so will continue to explore ways to operate in more cost effective and innovative ways.
