Driver taken to hospital after Fishers Hill crash

A driver was taken to hospital following a crash in the south of the Island.

The emergency services were called to the incident on Fishers Hill in Castletown at around 11.30pm last night.

One person was trapped in the car, which had come to rest on its roof, resulting in fire crews and paramedics having to work to release the driver.

The person was given initial checks at the scene before being taken to Noble's Hospital.

The road was closed for a couple of hours while the scene was cleared.
