The Children's Centre says it will be cutting jobs and ending some of its services later this year.
The charity will be withdrawing its early years services in March, which includes the nursery, breakfast, afterschool and holiday clubs at its Douglas site as well as the nursery in Laxey.
The organisation has also notified the Department of Health and Social Care that it will be withdrawing from the Family Placement Service, which it operates under contract from the Department.
The changes will result in some redundancies, but the DHSC will transfer some members of the FPS team when the new operator is brought in from October. Around 20 staff members of affected.
The Children's Centre says the decision comes following an in-depth review and research, which will result in it refocusing on core services rather than the commercial aspects of the charity.
The charity insists it's focus is putting children, young people and families first, and that these changes will allow it to move forward in a clear direction.
