Garff Commissioners has been paying tribute to the former chairman of the local authority following his death.
Robert Moughtin spent over 12 years as a commissioner for Maughold and latterly Garff, and played a role in bringing Laxey, Lonan and Maughold together to form the Garff authority.
The Commissioners said Mr Moughtin had a positive sense of purpose and integrity, and was always appreciated by his colleagues.
He was also a member of the Maughold Parish Social Club, and chaired the committee that oversaw the transfer of the Northern Civic Amenity Site into local authority control.
