The Abortion Reform Bill will undergo its first reading in next week's sitting of the House of Keys.
Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson will present the proposals to members on Tuesday.
The Bill would allow more women to undergo abortions on the Island rather than having to travel across, as well as offering counselling and information on support groups to those considering a termination.
The proposed new laws would also give women access to counselling and support after the termination.
Over 3,600 people responded to a public consultation on the Bill, with 87% in favour of allowing abortions for women up to 14 weeks into their pregnancy.
