Twice as many people were arrested for drink driving over Christmas last year compared to 2016.
The Isle of Man Constabulary revealed its officers made 14 arrests relating to drink driving over the festive period, while just seven were made the year before.
The police believe the figures are higher because officers spoke to more drivers in 2017 than in the same period in 2016.
The Constabulary says it's committed to tackling drink driving all year round.
So far nine of those arrested have been charged and will be dealt with in the courts, while two remain on bail and three cases have been dropped.
