Man sustains serious injuries in Willaston altercation

Police are appealing for information following an altercation in Willaston that left a man with serious injuries.

The incident happened at around 2am on Sunday outside in Tynwald Road, and involved a large group of men and women.

A 25-year-old man from Douglas was treated in hospital for serious injuries, but has since been released and is making a good recovery.

Officers have already arrested five men in connection with the incident, all of whom have been bailed pending further enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing - anyone who saw the incident or had other information which could help is urged to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
