Scammers are targetting Manx residents claiming to be from the Financial Crime Unit.
The Isle of Man Constabulary warns people on the Island and in Jersey are being contacted by fraudsters.
The callers claim they're investigating fraudulent activity involving fraud by bank staff, before asking the victim to make a payment from their account to a safe account with the Clydesdale, Metro or Halifax banks
Scammers then ask their victim not to tell their bank why they made the payment to avoid tipping off the staff being investigated.
Police are advising anyone who receives such a call not to give out any personal details, and warn no legitimate bank will every ask for such details or ask a client to transfer money.
