The Chief Minister says a new Health Minister will be appointed soon.

Kate Beecroft resigned yesterday after just over a year in the role following a meeting with Howard Quayle.

Mr Quayle revealed he called a meeting with the Minister on Tuesday to have a full and frank conversation on a range of issues, which was followed by Mrs Beecroft's resignation yesterday.

The Chief Minister plans to appoint a new Minister to delivery the objectives of the Council of Ministers' Programme for Government.
