Coastguard called out after dog disappeared near cliffs

A coastguard team was called out after a dog went missing near a cliff in Peel.

Crews were sent to Peel headlands on Wednesday last week after the dog disappeared near the edge of the cliff.

Officers searched from the end of the promenade to the old baths, before taking to coast path north as far as Ramsey Road.

After almost three hours the team was stood down without having found the dog, but they later received a call from the owner to confirm he'd been found near his home.
