Police to continue drink drive campaign over New Year

The Island's police are warning motorists that they will be continuing their drink driving prevention campaign over the New Year.

The Manx Constabulary has been running its Drink Safe campaign over the festive period, encouraging the Manx public to plan safe and legal transport while celebrating at Christmas and New Year.

The police say officers will be visible around the Island around the clock over New Year, and are urging drivers to think of the consequences before getting behind the wheel.

Officers stopped hundreds of vehicles in the run up to Christmas to speak to ensure their drivers weren't over the limit.
