Gritters deployed to tackle ice

Another amber weather warning has been in place overnight with ice expected on roads this morning.

The Island's met office expected temperatures to fall slightly below freezing, resulting in ice forming on untreated surfaces.

The Department of Infrastructure deployed its gritting teams yesterday afternoon in a bid to reduce the impact.

Conditions are expected to improve rapidly throughout the morning.
