Engineers work to repair water main in Ramsey

Engineers from Manx Utilities are working to repair a water main after a number of homes in Ramsey were left without water on Christmas Day.

A burst main near Bayr Ny Harrey Road in Ramsey resulted in problems to the water supply in a number of areas of the town.

Engineers were working on the main yesterday evening and overnight, and hoped to have the repair completed today.

It was Manx Utilities' second call of the day to the north of the Island, having tackled a power cut in Maughold in the afternoon.
