The Treasury Minister says the Island's pension age should remain the same as the UK's.
Alfred Cannan was speaking in this week's sitting of the House of Keys following a question about proposed changes for women born in the 1950s in the UK.
A Private Members Bill being considered by the British Government wants to increase the State Pension Age to 65 next year and 66 by October 2020.
Mr Cannan confirmed the Treasury will wait to see what action the UK takes before decided what needs to be done here.
