A wood burning stove led to a callout for fire crews in the north of the Island.
Teams from Ramsey, Laxey and Douglas were all called to Fairfield Avenue in Ramsey yesterday afternoon following a report of a smell of burning.
Fire officers used a thermal image camera to identify hot embers from the flue of a stove as the result of the smell and smoke logging.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire and make the area safe, spending around 45 minutes at the scene.
The fire service is reminding those who use wood burning stoves to ensure they are properly installed, placed on a fire-resistant base and cleaned properly to reduce the risk of a fire.
