A property developer is seeking permission to build a 40-bedroom hotel and spa at the site of the former Castletown Golf Links Hotel.
Fort Island Developments, which is part of the Dandara Group, want to demolish the old building, constructing a four-star boutique hotel with spa, swimming pool, gym and sauna.
The firm says the hotel will create over 30 permanent jobs, while more than 100 people will be employed during the construction process.
The facility would also include a bar and restaurant, which would be able to hold functions such as weddings and business events.
The multimillion pound development would be five storeys high, and also include two- and three-bedroom luxury apartments on the upper levels.
The developer hopes The Links Hotel complex would be ready to open for spring 2021.
