An amber weather warning is in place until midday due to ice and wintry showers.
The Island's met office issued the warning yesterday evening, warning the conditions could result in some accumulations over the hills.
The Department of Infrastructure gritted a number of routes last night including the Mountain Road and Laxey Coast Road in a bid to minimise the impact on the Island's roads
However, forecasters expect untreated roads could be icy this morning.
