A £1.4m regeneration scheme in Douglas town centre will get underway in the New Year.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed the project in Castle Street will begin on January 8th around Senna Road and Frederick Street.
The regeneration will involve a full reconstruction of one of the main shopping streets in Douglas, as well as upgrading of public utilities and installation of new lighting.
The Government says access will be maintained to all premises throughout the work, which is due to be completed by October.
