Castletown Town Commissioners will adopt the living wage as a minimum payment for all of its staff.
The board is the second local authority to announce that it's introducing the living wage following Ramsey Town Commissioners.
The decision received unanimous support at this week's meeting.
Commissioner Jamie Horton, who called for the board to bring in the living wage, says it shows the Commissioners' commitment to being a responsible employer.
Tynwald set the Island's living wage at £8.61 earlier this year.
