The number of endoscopies taking place in October at Noble's Hospital was up by more than 50% compared with 2016.
Member for Health and Social Care Ann Corlett revealed in the House of Keys that 101 procedures took place each week in October - up from 64 last year.
However, Mrs Corlett admitted that the endoscopy unit isn't running at capacity as it doesn't have the medical or nursing staff to do so.
17 sessions are run each week, but the hospital has the ability to operate 30 sessions.
All services were moved to Noble's earlier this year, ending the service at Ramsey & District Cottage Hospital, in a bid to cut waiting lists from 36 weeks to six.
Mrs Corlett insists the Department is on target to meet its waiting list target by April.
