MHK resigns from political role with DHSC

An MHK has resigned from the Department of Health and Social Care.

Douglas East member Clare Bettison handed in her letter of resignation last week.

Ms Bettison, who previously worked as a nurse at Noble's Hospital, is the second member of quit the DHSC this year following Rob Callister's departure in March.

Ms Bettison is also a political member of the Department of Home Affairs and is a member of the Tynwald Advisory Council for Disabilities.
