MHK quits Liberal Vannin over Health Minister question ban

An MHK has quit the Liberal Vannin Party because she was banned from questioning the Health Minister.

Onchan member Julie Edge says she can't represent her constituents without being able to raise health queries in the House of Keys and Tynwald.

Party leader Kate Beecroft is the Minister in charge of the Department of Health and Social Care.

Ms Edge insists she owes it to the people of Onchan to represent them in a democratic way, and she can't do it while she remains in the Party.

However, she claims she still upholds the principals of the party.
