The Isle of Man Constabulary's Public Protection Unit says those who report a sexual offence will be offered specialist support and advice.
The reminder comes after 57-year-old Antony Carus was sentenced to nine years in prison for a number of historic sexual offences.
Officers say it takes strength and courage to report such a crime, and that specialist detectives in the Public Protection Team are available to speak to those who wish to report sexual abuse.
Specialist support, guidance and advice is offered to the victim throughout the police investigation.
The Public Protection Team can be contacted at Police Headquarters.
